Team Unity
About Us
MISSION: Creating a friendly, supportive space for individuals to live a fulfilled, purposeful life through discovering their brilliant boldness, taking courageous action, and challenging others to do the same.
CORE VALUES: Imagination, Love, Courage, Creativity.
PROBLEM: People are worried about the future. They see a broken world; divisiveness, a rising economy, and hateful politics.
SOLUTION: Understanding that we have a purpose, we are here to be a solution, fill a gap, and hold the light. We are not here to “fix” the world but to bring Light into the world.
WHAT WE DO AT UNITY: Help you discover your purpose and how to live it:
You are here to remember who you are, the physical expression of God in this world. Because God is ALL, you are an expression of the ALL. You were created with the intention and purpose to be here now. And because God is ALL, everything you could possibly need to be in your purpose is available to you.
Once you remember who you are, this changes how you do what you do. You show up in your life in a bigger, bolder way. And this changes how you serve. You have a bigger impact on your life and on the lives of those you love.
SO HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE IN YOUR PURPOSE OR NOT?
When you are in your purpose, you live a purpose-driven life. Knowing that God is ALL, and you are an expression of that, drives you forward. It will feel as if the Universe has your back. You may not know exactly how things will work out, but you are guided to do the next right thing, and you will have the courage to do it, even without guaranteeing a perfect outcome.
When you are not clear on your purpose, you will struggle. You will feel like you lack purpose. Life will feel hard and seem like you can’t catch a break. You won’t feel comfortable doing the next right thing because there are no guarantees. You’ll worry about making the wrong choice and think that choosing safe or not choosing at all, are your only options.
OUR PURPOSE:
CONNECT: When we connect to others by loving each other as God loves, we connect more deeply to the infinite within us. We have a greater awareness of how God is working through us, and we become a greater source of good in this world.
SERVE: Service is not about what we do. Service is the way we show up in the world. When we see God in others, we see God in all things. Everything we do becomes an act of service because we are guided by the infinite within us.
GROW: As we live in awareness of who we are, and how we serve, we thrive. Our lives prosper, and we can serve in greater ways.
Our Minister
Rev. Deanna Joseph has been interested in metaphysics ever since she was a child. She can remember being the only kid in middle school who wanted to discuss extrasensory abilities, and hauntings.
In her twenties, she was introduced to the philosophy of New Thought and the powerful concept: We are each God expressing itself in a body, which inspired her to become a ordained New Thought minister.
Since then, Deanna has been committed to sharing her spiritual journey through teaching, writing, and music. Some of her influences are Charles Fillmore, Dr. Joseph Murphy, Florence Scovel Shinn, Wayne Dyer, Joan Borysenko, Catherine Ponder, and Ernest Holmes. Her formal training includes a wide range of New Thought study; including the Unity teachings, Concept Therapy.
She is also the author of the forthcoming books, "Navigate Your Power", a book on Universal Laws and the power of Affirmative Prayer, and "The Maybe Bee", a children's book on the power of choice.
She knows that each soul is here to create with purpose and intention, and is so grateful to be fulfilling her own highest purpose: empowering others to be the powerful creators they came here to be.
What We Beleive
5 Unity Principles
1. God is All
“All that we are and have is God, and we can never be separate from that universal power.” ~ Ellen Debenport, The Five Principles
2. You are an Expression of God
“You are the light of the world.” ~ Matthew 5:14?
3. You Create in Your Life as God Creates in the Whole
“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.” ~ Buddha
4. Through Communion with God, You Express the Christ in You
It’s this communion that makes affirmative prayer so powerful; when you are in communion with God, you walk in faith, and not by sight. You’ll know your prayer is already answered, and this deep knowing is what manifests it into your life.
“Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” ~ Mark 11:24
5. Walk the Walk
“Life is consciousness first, then we take action as we are inspired.” ~ Ellen Debenport, The Five Principles
Unity Ambassadors
"I Am, because we Are" Desmond Tutu
We thrive in sacred relationship; this is why Jesus said the most important commandment was to love each other as he loved.
In sacred relationship with others we expand our own consciousness through acceptance, compassion, and love. Essentially, we are able to step into our Light because we’ve seen the Light in others. We discover our I Am because We Are?
That’s why at Unity of Yucaipa we have our Unity Ambassadors; a friendly and loving support team who thrives on relationship and service. Our Unity Ambassadors hold the space for everyone to be in and part of a spiritual community.
We know how important it is to feel connected to a spiritual community; your tribe not only provides friendship and connection, but also supports you and has your back when life is filled with challenges.

If you’d like to join our team, talk to Rev. Deanna after the next Sunday service.

The Unity Band
It lifts our mood, enhances a moment, and in general, just makes the day brighter. In fact, it’s a well known fact that joyful and uplifting music make us better receivers for our good!
That’s why music is so important to us here at Unity of Yucaipa.
To be in the Unity band, you need to be a tithing member, and volunteer in some other capacity.

Membership
Why Become A Member of Unity of Yuca
But when you become a member of Unity of Yucaipa, you are commiting to actively participating in your spiritual growth and expansion (rather than just being a bystander).
But commitment can feel scary, because it’s an exclusionary process. Committing to creating a bigger, bolder vision for your life means giving up the things that hold you back, and keep you small.
As a member of Unity of Yucaipa, not only will you have the support to grow your vision, you’ll also have the support of a community that understands your commitment to showing up in your life as the powerful creator you came here to be.

Plan A Visit
Here at Unity of Yucaipa, we strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. We believe that no matter where you find yourself on your spiritual journey, there is always room here for you. We are dedicated to providing a safe, comforting space for people from all walks of life. Our goal is not only to bring people together in community but also help them find their own spiritual path. Whether you're looking for a place where you can connect with others or just take some time to explore your own spiritual journey, we have something here that will be meaningful and inspirational.
Our service time is 10AM and we meet at
Zero Point Athletics in Calimesa
1103 Calimesa Blvd., Calimesa
Can't make it? No worries! We also stream our service live on Facebook every week. No matter how you choose to experience it, we guarantee an uplifting message and lots of love! Hope to see you soon!
Whether you're new to Unity of Yucaipa, you've been away and are returning, or you attend every week, we want you to feel welcome and at home. Our Sunday service starts at 10 am and usually lasts an hour and 15 minutes. Before and after service, we have fellowship and a chance to get to know one another. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by a member of our hospitality team who will direct you to our welcome table, where you can grab a cup of coffee and a snack. We look forward to seeing you soon!
No matter your style, you can feel comfortable at our church – whether you prefer jeans or business casual. Our minister and worship team wear jeans, but if you prefer dressing up, that's great too. We want everyone to feel welcome and accepted, no matter what they choose to wear.
Our service starts off with a welcome song. Then we recite our Unity Principles (what we believe), and then play a couple more songs. You are welcome to sing along, but this is not required. Then our minister shares a message intended to inspire and challenge you. We then have more music, a meditation, and a closing prayer. Our service is very relaxed.
You are welcome to bring your children. Though we do not currently have a space for Sunday school, we do have a kids' activity table, and have crafts and coloring pages available. We do not have a nursery for younger children, but we have several families that bring infants, and they just hold them through the service.
If you enjoy being part of the Unity Community, and decide you want to become a member, talk to our minister after service.
We offer many different events throughout the month. Check our calendar page to see the most recent events.
If you appreciated and felt inspired by the service, you can click on a QR code we have posted in our fellowship area to give to Unity. We do not pass a basket, but we do have a basket for love offerings in our fellowship area. There is also a link here on our website for giving.
